New photos of the German-made Leopard 2 tanks, which were delivered to Ukraine by international partners, have been posted online. These combat vehicles have strengthened the country's defenders and are already on combat duty.

The photos show a tank battalion of the 33rd Separate Mechanised Brigade. The footage was shared on Saturday, 15 July, by the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Land Forces (to view the images, scroll to the bottom of the page).

The press service did not specify in which region the images were taken. Our military equipment is depicted against the backdrop of a field of sunflowers and forest plantations.

Some Leopard 2s are covered with camouflage nets. The photos also show soldiers of the 33rd Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We remind you that Germany granted permission to supply Leopards to our soldiers at the end of January this year. The first four tanks arrived in Ukraine from Poland on 24 February 2023, the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The Leopard 2 is considered one of the most successful projects in the post-war history of tank construction.

Main characteristics of the Leopard 2A4:

- crew: 4 people;

- combat weight: 55 т;

- engine: turbocharged diesel engine of 1500 hp;

- gun calibre: 120 mm;

- top speed: 68 km/h.
