The group of Russian occupiers that broke through the eastern outskirts of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region and was blocked in the ruins of the Krasnohorivka Refractory Plant is in a difficult situation. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have cut off all their logistical routes.

Nazar Voloshyn, a representative of the "Khortytsia" operational and strategic group of troops, said this during a telethon on Sunday, May 12. According to him, the Russians were left without ammunition and all kinds of support.

"The enemy is practically deprived of both ammunition and armor support. Our defenders cut off all their logistics routes and took control of both the road and the approaches to the plant. The defenders are also restraining the enemy's advance into the city," said Voloshyn.

According to the military, the situation in Krasnohorivka is under full control of the Ukrainian defenders. Fighters of the 59th Separate Mechanized Brigade are holding the defense there, the situation around the town is also under their control.

"The enemy kept trying to storm the town with small assault groups, from time to time they tried to storm the eastern outskirts of the town with armored vehicles. Our defenders destroy all the enemy's attempts to enter the city with artillery and mortar fire," he said.

As a reminder, on May 8 it became known that a group of Russian occupation troops broke through to the territory of a refractory plant in Krasnohorivka. The enemy was blocked there by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
