Latvian president witnessed mass drone attack on Kyiv: he showed a photo from a shelter

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, who had arrived in Kyiv on an official visit the day before, witnessed a massive Russian drone attack on the capital on the night of November 25. He was forced to hide in a shelter.

Rinkēvičs posted the photo on his Twitter account. The caption to the photo says that it was taken on November 25 at 5:10 am.

As a reminder, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian army launched a record number of drones at Ukraine last night: about 75. Air defense forces shot down 71 of them.

The attack was mainly aimed at Kyiv, where more than 60 drones were destroyed.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- On November 24, Edgars Rinkēvičs met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. During the meeting, they discussed the defense needs of the Armed Forces, the need to strengthen air defense, and Ukraine's accession to the EU.

- Ukraine is increasing the number of mobile groups to fight Shahed drones. Work to strengthen the protection of energy infrastructure and civilian facilities is also underway.
