Kadyrov is going to send 84 thousand Chechens to war against Ukraine "voluntarily" – CNS
Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov intends to send 84,000 Chechens to fight against Ukraine. It is claimed that these people were recruited "voluntarily," i.e., not as part of the mobilization.
Moreover, Kadyrov believes that these Chechens, who will become cannon fodder, should be grateful to him for this. This was reported by the Center of National Resistance under the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It reminded that the head of Chechnya claims that the republic has already fulfilled all the tasks set by the Kremlin to avoid mobilizing its population.
"However, Moscow cannot cope with the situation, the war it has unleashed is dragging on, and there is a lack of 'cannon fodder'. Therefore, the puppet regime will try even harder to use every opportunity to send Chechens and representatives of other national minorities to the front, serving the schizophrenic ideas of Putin and his entourage," the statement said.
We would like to add that the Chechen authorities regularly report on "overfulfilling the plan" in terms of volunteers to participate in the war. For the first time, Ramzan Kadyrov announced this immediately after Putin's mobilization. According to him, by September 2022, the republic had already exceeded the plan for volunteers "by 254%," so there would be no mobilization in the region.
In December 2023, he reported on recruiting volunteers "by 1500%" more than planned. By February 2024, the plan was "overfulfilled" by "8224%". According to Kadyrov, "36 thousand fighters were sent to Ukraine, including about 16 thousand volunteers."
However, according to human rights activists, there are many Chechens who were forcibly sent to war. They note that hidden mobilization continues in Chechnya: some people are faced with the choice of going to prison or going to war, and others are sent to the front for having opposition views.
Kadyrov recently announced a new approach to dealing with "problem youth" in Chechnya. Now, young Chechens for whom "no laws are written," i.e. those who have committed some kind of offense, can be sent to war against Ukraine instead of facing administrative responsibility.
"From now on, the conversation with them will be short. If you don't respect the law, either go to jail for the maximum appropriate term or sign a contract and go to the combat zone. There you can show your bravery, audacity, and daring to the enemy. Instead of bringing to administrative responsibility, it is more expedient to send offenders to serve in the ranks of the Russian troops," Kadyrov wrote.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the terrorist country Russia continues to recruit prisoners in Russian prisons and colonies for the war against Ukraine. At the same time, not only Russian citizens but also people from Central Asia and other foreigners are being taken to the front.
