It was "hotter" in the summer than in the fall: Ihnat points out a nuance in Russian strikes on Ukraine

Ihnat pointed out a nuance with Russian strikes on Ukraine

The terrorist state of Russia continues to accumulate cruise and ballistic missiles. At the same time, the enemy regularly launches missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, the military noted that in the summer, Russian shelling was more intense than throughout the fall. Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, said this during the telethon.

According to him, it is difficult to predict the enemy's plans, but one thing is certain - the Russian occupation army is amassing missiles. This includes not only cruise missiles, but also ballistic missiles.

Ihnat emphasized that Ukraine has repeatedly experienced missile attacks, during which the enemy used various means of destruction.

"It is not easy to find out what their plans are. We understand that the enemy is amassing certain means. We are talking about cruise and ballistic missiles, I mean Iskander-M. This is not the first time we have experienced such things that have happened recently. Compared to the fall of this year, it was indeed hotter in the summer in terms of enemy attacks. We saw Daggers, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones in the summer," Ihnat said.

The spokesman also emphasized that in addition to missiles, the enemy has a large number of kamikaze attack drones. Therefore, Russia can afford to launch UAVs almost every day.

In this regard, it is necessary to increase the means of countering not only missiles but also attack drones.

"Now the enemy has begun to use air-launched missiles, in particular, Kh-101 and Kh-555, closer to the cold season. We have seen both Iskanders and S-400 missiles that were used to attack Kyiv. They also have enough drones to attack Ukraine every day from different directions. The enemy has missiles and will continue to fire, but we need to increase our capabilities to shoot down attack UAVs," said the spokesman.

As a reminder, the enemy currently has almost 1,000 high-precision long-range missiles. In addition, Russia continues to produce long-range missiles.

Earlier it was reported that on December 14, Kyiv declared an air alert five times due to the takeoff of enemy MiG-31Ks, which are carriers of "Kinzhals". During one of these alerts, Ukrainian air defenders shot down an Kh-47M Kinzhal air defense missile.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Russian occupation army has not been using Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles to fire at Ukraine for a long time. Putin's terrorists are probably trying to accumulate high-precision missile weapons.
