Invaders attacked Mykolaiv with attack drones, there is destruction and casualties: video of the explosion and footage from rescuers
On the night of January 22, Russian invaders attacked Mykolaiv with kamikaze drones. As a result of the attack, an apartment building was destroyed, a fire broke out, and there were consequences in the private sector, as well as damage to a company and public transportation.
At least two people were reported injured. Details were provided by the State Emergency Service.
"The enemy attacked Mykolaiv with attack drones: there is destruction and fires have started. The attic floor of an apartment building was partially destroyed. The fire in an apartment on the sixth floor, which covered an area of 100 square meters, has been extinguished. 200 people were evacuated from the building, and everyone has now returned to their homes. The blast wave damaged the window glazing in 4 apartment buildings and 1 private residential building," the SES said.
Later, Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, clarified that in addition to the six-story building that was destroyed, the blast wave damaged the windows of apartments in eight apartment buildings and several private houses, damaged the windows of a family outpatient clinic and the administrative building of a transport company, and destroyed a car. There were also several fires in open areas.

"Our company has also suffered. In addition to buildings, several units of electric transport and vehicles of the company's structural units were damaged. For example, the new Dnipro trolleybuses and a special vehicle, a freight service car of the track service, were severely damaged," he emphasized.
Sienkiewicz added that due to the aftermath of the shelling on January 22, there will be no distribution of purified water by tram or trolleybus. Electric transport on the city's routes will operate according to the schedule.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties. This is the most important thing. We will rebuild everything else. Our utilities continue to inspect the residential sector to identify all the damage and start eliminating the consequences of the shelling where necessary," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, footage of the arrival of the helicopter and the fire in the high-rise building was posted online.
The rescuers tamed the fire. They have also set up an emergency psychological aid center staffed by psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the police.
A few minutes before midnight, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim , reported two victims in Mykolaiv. In the morning, the State Emergency Service clarified that it was a 74-year-old woman who was hospitalized, as well as a 58-year-old man with an acute stress reaction: after receiving first aid, he refused hospitalization.
"As of this morning, the woman is in serious condition," Kim added at 07:45 on January 22.
In addition, after the Russian attack, rescuers extinguished a reed fire on an area of 1,000 square meters. The explosions damaged doors and windows in a boat cooperative, and also damaged a private house and an administrative building, and destroyed a car. The fire of garbage and dry grass on the area of 100 square meters was eliminated.
The shelling involved 45 rescuers and 11 units of State Emergency Service equipment.
As a reminder, the day before, the occupiers struck at Dnipro and the region. The railway infrastructure was hit, three UZ employees were injured, and almost 70 residential buildings in the Synelnykivskyi district were damaged. In Dnipro, an unused warehouse was partially destroyed.
