National Police exposed a group of criminals who helped draft evaders pass through unrecognized Transnistria

National Police investigators exposed a group of criminals who helped draft evaders leave Ukraine through unrecognized Transnistria. For this service, citizens subject to military service paid up to $5,000.

The illegal "scheme" was organized by Moldovan citizens. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine's press service, publishing a video of the detention of lawbreakers.

Law enforcement officers found that the criminals brought men of military age from the Odesa region to the border with Transnistria. From there, they were led along forest paths, bypassing checkpoints, and then took money for their "assistance" and drove the "clients" to the capital of Moldova.

The price of such a "ticket" was $4.5-5 thousand, the amount depended on how urgently the evader needed to leave Ukraine.

The organizers of the "scheme" searched for their "clients" through several created Telegram channels. They told the men about the time, place and conditions of illegal border crossing...

To document these activities and detain the members of the criminal group, a joint investigation team between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova was established. It included investigators from the National Police, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Information and Security Service of Moldova.

Thanks to this joint work, two criminals were detained on the territory of Moldova. At the time, one of them was transporting four Ukrainian draft evaders. Both suspects were citizens of Moldova.
