Increased pace of Russian army's offensive in Ukraine will lead to increased enemy casualties too - ISW

The Russian occupation army has recently increased the pace of offensive operations in Ukraine. This is likely to lead to a significant increase in enemy losses of both manpower and equipment.

At the same time, Russia's military and political leadership continues to conceal real losses at the front. This is stated in the analysis of the Institute for War Studies.

Over the past week, Putin's troops have conducted several mechanized attacks at the platoon, company and battalion level west of Bakhmut in the Chasovyi Yar area, west of Kreminna and west of Avdiivka in the Berdychiv, Semenivka and Tonenke areas. The analysts noted that the previous pattern of Russian infantry attacks did not involve large-scale use of armored vehicles.

The ISW emphasized that the aggressor country has successfully used its current mobilization efforts to compensate for the large losses of manpower. Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, previously stated that Russia recruits about 30,000 personnel every month, who are used to replenish personnel losses and form tactical and operational reserves.

According to analysts, the new trend of Russian troops using more equipment than before suggests that the occupiers are no longer so constrained or concerned about the loss of their armored vehicles and tanks. In turn, the British International Institute for Strategic Studies think tank reported that Russia is likely to be able to maintain the current rate of equipment losses for at least two or three years.

Today, the terrorist country Russia can still produce 250-300 new and modernized tanks per year and repair about 250-300 damaged tanks per year. At the same time, ISW believes that the Kremlin is unlikely to resort to unpopular mobilization efforts in the short term unless the losses of manpower and equipment significantly exceed the level that the current mobilization campaign and its defense production capacity can provide.

As a reminder, Russia's new offensive in Ukraine is expected to begin in late May or June. Now our army needs maximum military assistance from our partners as it is very difficult to resist the well-equipped Russian army.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that according to his information, Russia would announce a new mobilization of 300,000 soldiers on June 1.
