"I don't see a problem if Ukraine enters Russia with German tanks," Head of the Bundestag Defense Committee

Markus Faber, chairman of the Bundestag's defense committee, sees no problem with Ukraine using weapons provided by Germany in Russia. After the military equipment was delivered to Kyiv, it became Ukraine's weapon, Faber emphasized.

This was reported by the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. The publication quotes the words of Markus Faber, which he said in an interview with German media.

Thus, Faber believes that Ukraine can use the weapons supplied by Germany, including the Leopard 2 tank, to advance through Russian territory.

"Once transferred to Ukraine, these weapons become Ukrainian. This applies to any means, including the Leopard 2. After Russia attacked Ukraine, the territory of both countries was a war zone. The use of weapons is governed by international law," he said.

The outlet notes that after the Ukrainian offensive near Kursk, Russian propaganda channels published photos allegedly showing German Leopard 2 tanks. The Bild newspaper, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, wrote that at least three German Marder armored personnel carriers are involved in the Ukrainian army's operation near Kursk. This is allegedly evidenced by the published drone footage.
