Ukrainian Sea Baby maritime surface drones, which our security services used to attack several Russian facilities in the Black Sea, are the SSU's technical development. These unique UAVs are manufactured at one of the underground production facilities in the territory of Ukraine.

This is stated in a statement by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk and published on the official website of the intelligence service. The head of the agency emphasized that no private companies were involved in this project (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

Maliuk emphasized that the development of the UAVs and their manufacturing was being carried out by the SSU team, which was assisted by civilian engineers and IT specialists.

"Today we have a lot of interesting operations in the process of development and implementation, in the waters of the Black Sea in particular. I promise you, it will be a surprise, especially for our enemies," the SSU head announced.

According to him, the service approaches each operation very carefully.

"We plan the operations carefully. But we also do it quickly. We sting the enemy right in the heart," the head of the Security Service emphasized.

According to him, Sea Baby marine drones are equipped with a 850 kg warhead. For example, two separate surface drones were used to hit the Olenegorsk Miner landing ship and the SIG tanker SIG, each with 450 kilograms of warhead.

At the same time, Maliuk emphasized that these were all legal targets under Ukrainian and international law.

The experimental marine drone Sea Baby was used to attack the Crimean Bridge on July 17. As a result of the operation, the roadways of the bridge were damaged. The Ukrainian security service gave CNN exclusive footage of the moment of the attack.

Explosions were heard on the Crimean Bridge on the night of July 17, after which the traffic on the bridge was stopped. A video of the consequences of the collapse of the span was later published. The attack on the Kerch Bridge was a special operation by the SSU and the Ukrainian Armed Forces Navy. The facility was attacked by surface drones.

- Naval surface drone attacked the Russian Olenegorsk miner landing ship in the bay of Novorossiysk on August 4. It was reported that the ship suffered a serious breach, captised and could no longer fulfill its combat missions;

- A maritime drone crashed into a SIG tanker 30 miles off the Kerch Strait on August 5. Russian media published a photo of the damaged vessel. The tanker suffered a breach in the engine room.
