General and former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe Ben Hodges said that the Russian leadership hates each other. According to him, this will help Ukraine win the war unleashed by the Russian Federation.

Hodges expressed this opinion in an interview on the Espresso TV channel. The greatest weaknesses in the Russians' defense and military strategy during the current summer campaign is that they cannot predict how the military will behave, and they do not understand our command's strategic plan.

"The Russians are hysterical, hysterical about Putin. They don't know what to expect, and they don't feel empowered. First, most Russian soldiers don't want to fight. Second, the Russian media and military bloggers are finally facing the truth after being lied to for the past year. Now they see that Ukrainian troops are strong, trained, and have real military potential. It also helps Ukraine that the Russian leadership hates each other. Kadyrov, Prigozhin, and Shoigu all hate each other, and this hatred trickles down to the generals, colonels, and other people below them. This means that the Russian defense will lack cohesion if Ukraine continues in the same spirit," the general said.

The general also predicted a counterattack by the AFU.

"First of all, Ukraine has stepped on the path that will lead to the liberation of Crimea and the expulsion of Russian troops from Ukraine. So, the start of the counteroffensive is an important step for Ukraine, but its main phase has not yet begun. In my opinion, the AFU continues to press the Russian defense, looking for vulnerabilities, confusing the Russians as to where the main offensive will be. And, of course, there will be some casualties. I mean, the next few days are going to be very tough, but I expect that in the next few weeks we will see a lot more success and progressive momentum from the Ukrainian forces," Hodges said.
