AFU destroys the most advanced Russian Tor SAM system with a precise HIMARS strike

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian Tor missile system

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the line and inflict significant losses on the enemy in both manpower and equipment. Recently, soldiers of the "West" operational command destroyed a Russian Tor anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian artillerymen managed to eliminate the enemy's equipment thanks to an accurate HIMARS missile strike. The corresponding video was posted on the Telegram channel of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the Tor anti-aircraft missile system is an effective air defense system that can operate at an altitude of up to 6 km.

It is intended to protect key administrative, economic and military facilities, as well as the first echelons of ground forces from attacks by anti-radar and guided missiles, drones, airplanes and helicopters.

It provides protection against targets moving at speeds of up to 700 m/s at distances of 0.5 to 12 km and at altitudes of 10 meters to 6 km.

This equipment is famous for its ability to quickly move into position, conduct close interception of targets in the air and launch missiles.

A missile from this system can destroy an airplane, a helicopter, a drone, or a missile without hitting the target directly. This is because the missile detonates a charge in the air to maximize the likelihood of hitting the selected target.

As reported, the National Guard destroyed a motorboat of a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Russian troops with an effective strike. UAV operators of the 11th Hrushevskyi Brigade of the Southern Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine were responsible for a successful attack.
