Have they started to "clean up the traces"? Flags of Wagner PMC were removed from graves of occupiers liquidated in Ukraine in Vladivostok. Video
After the Wagner PMC rebellion led by their leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, Russia launched a campaign to discredit the Wagner mercenaries. Recently, at the cemetery in Vladivostok, unknown persons removed Wagner flags from the graves of the liquidated occupiers.
This was reported in Russian Telegram channels. Interestingly, eyewitnesses also noticed that Russian flags were subsequently cut down on the graves.
Thus, after the armed uprising, the Russian authorities began to fight even the dead Wagner mercenaries, cleaning up their traces in cemeteries so that Russians would not associate mercenaries with "heroism".
In addition, propagandists on Russian television began to talk about how Wagner mercenaries were ineffective on the battlefield compared to Russian army soldiers.
It should be reminded that the Wagner PMC stopped recruiting new mercenaries in Russia. They explained this by moving to Belarus and ceasing to participate in the war against Ukraine.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russian propagandists seem to have launched a campaign to discredit the Wagner PMC after the "march on Moscow". Thus, the Kremlin's Pervyi Kanal (First Channel) aired a story in which the effectiveness of Wagner mercenaries was called a "myth" and at the same time praised the regular army of the Russian Federation.
