New footage from Vuhledar, Donetsk region, which has been under attack since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, has been posted online. The settlement has turned into a real ghost town due to constant shelling and bombing.
One of the published videos shows deserted high-rise buildings damaged by Russian shells, as well as streets that have turned into wasteland. The formerly residential area has become overgrown with weeds (to see all the footage, scroll to the end of the news).
Another video, filmed from a bird's eye view, shows powerful explosions in Vuhledar, which resulted in smoke billowing over the ruined city.
Judging by this footage, there is not a single intact building in the town as a result of the massive shelling.
15 thousand people lived in Vuhledar before the large-scale Russian invasion.
Less than 500 people remained there in February 2023 and less than a hundred in July. Despite the chaotic shelling and bombing, the city remains under the control of Ukraine's defenders.
