French TV channel illegally visits occupied territories: Ukraine's Foreign Ministry responds
The French TV channel TF1 got into a scandal after filming a report from the positions of the Russian military in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that TF1 employees had entered the area illegally.
The TV channel published the scandalous story on 15 June on its YouTube channel. The video of the French journalists contains footage of the way to the enemy positions, the invaders' dugouts, as well as their comments on the situation with ammunition and drones (to watch, scroll to the end of the news).
One of the occupiers told how they use all these weapons against Ukraine.
And the French journalist who commented on the story behind the scenes did not mention who the aggressor in the war was. The article says that the occupiers have been preparing for Ukraine's counter-offensive for a long time because they are "not stupid".
Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said that TF1 had violated the laws of Ukraine and that its story "reaches a new low in journalism".
"TF1's report that Russian troops are destroying new cities in the occupied territories of Ukraine reaches a new low in journalism. They advertise the so-called might of the Russian army. This dishonours the dead. In addition, TF1 visited the occupied territories in violation of the laws of Ukraine," the diplomat stressed.
