First batch of DPRK troops flees from positions 7 km from Ukraine's border – sources

The first batch of 18 soldiers from the DPRK has already escaped from positions located on the border between the Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia. According to intelligence, the escape took place just 7 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The Russian military has already started searching for them. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by its sources.

The motives for the soldiers' escape from the DPRK have not yet been established. At the same time, the Russian command is trying to hide this situation from the top leadership.

Earlier, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said that the DPRK could send members of its regular armed forces to Ukraine to support Russia. According to him, this will be the latest sign of deepening military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow.

As a reminder, on October 3, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on the occupiers' positions near Donetsk. It killed more than 20 Russian soldiers, including six officers from North Korea.

Recently, the media reported that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) may send up to 100,000 of its military to Ukraine to support Russia. However, this information is fiction.
