Every eighth tank is SSU's: Dekhtiarenko tells about the achievements of special service soldiers at the front

Since the beginning of the full-scale war with Russia, the Security Service of Ukraine has destroyed 1226 Russian tanks. It is about every eighth tank on the list of losses of the aggressor country.

This was stated by SSU spokesman Artem Dekhtiarenko during a telethon. In particular, he noted that the number of losses inflicted on the Russian army by the Ukrainian special service is constantly growing.

"In total, since the beginning of the war, the SSU has already hit 1226 Russian tanks. And this is the figure for the beginning of this week, it is constantly growing. This means that virtually every eighth tank that Ukraine has destroyed in the war with Russia was destroyed directly by the Security Service of Ukraine," said the spokesman.

He added: "The SSU neutralized thousands of units of other occupiers' weapons – artillery systems, air defense, electronic warfare and others.

Commenting on the downing of a Russian Armed Forces helicopter over the Kursk region by an FPV drone, Dekhtiarenko said that two similar cases have already been recorded.

"As for the helicopter in the Kursk region, this is a truly unique and very rare case when FPV drones managed to hit a helicopter in flight. The SSU special forces have already recorded two such shootings on the fly, both of which took place in Kursk region," said the representative of the special service.

Dekhtiarenko also said that the SSU has hit 11 Russian warships with Sea Baby maritime drones.

"Sea Baby can carry out remote mining, hit military targets from the sea with the help of an MLRS system, and other actions that we cannot talk about yet. This has never been done before," he said.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost 223 weapons and military equipment and 1340 people in the war against Ukraine over the past day.

According to UK military intelligence, the aggressor's average daily losses last month reached a new high. In September 2024, the Russian army was losing 1271 wounded and killed every day.
