Enemy cannot break through Ukrainian defense near Avdiivka and is "erased" by Orlivka, - Zhorin

The Russian occupiers are unable to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the temporarily occupied Avdiivka in Donetsk region. Despite the losses, the army of the aggressor state continues to advance in this area of the frontline.

Most of all, the enemy is "erasing" the settlement of Orlivka, the losses of the invaders there are huge. This was written by the deputy commander of the Third Separate Assault Brigade Maksym Zhorin on his Telegram channel on Wednesday, March 6.

"So far, the enemy cannot push through the defense line in the Avdiivka sector. But they are trying to advance constantly and try to advance at least a little where possible," said the military.

According to Zhorin, the occupants are storming Orlivka both day and night, suffering huge losses there, but they do not stop.

"Most of all, they are now running into the village of Orlivka," he said.

According to Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavria operational and strategic grouping, after capturing Avdiivka, the occupiers are focusing their efforts on the Novopavlivka sector. The enemy is pulling up reserves there. In the area of Novomykhailivka village, "the enemy is fighting head-on against the eastern outskirts, because it is the main direction for them in Donetsk region after Avdiivka."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavliuk said that the enemy is stubbornly trying to capture as much Ukrainian territory as possible, but Ukraine is already stabilizing the front line. Moreover, Ukrainian defenders will soon begin preparing for counteroffensive actions to seize the initiative.
