Ukrainian soldiers continue to replenish the exchange fund by capturing Russian invaders. During the fighting in the Kharkiv sector, soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade captured an occupier who served in the DIU.

The war criminal claimed that he decided to fight against Ukraine allegedly to avoid going to prison. The video with the occupier's prisoner was posted on Telegram by the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.

The captured invader said that in Russia he faced a 13-year prison sentence for fraud, but was offered an alternative – service in the ranks of the Russian occupation army. According to him, he was not going to kill Ukrainians, and his main task was to "protect" the occupied territories.

"I said I would not kill, there was no need to kill anyone. There is no need to kill anyone, there is no need to guard the land we took," the war criminal said.

The occupier also addressed the Russians who are going to go to war in Ukraine and said that they should immediately surrender to the Ukrainian military.

As a reminder, in the Kursk region, soldiers of the 80th Air Assault Brigade managed to capture 11 occupiers. The Russian military were captured during one of the failed assaults.

Earlier, a captured resident of Luhansk region, Vasyl Lizunov, said that he "served" as a driver in the invaders' army, but in 2024 he quarreled with his platoon commander and became ordinary "assault meat." Even after losing one of his eyes, the Russians kept throwing him into assault until he was captured.
