DIU: Russian troops hit Ukraine with newly-made weapons

Russian occupiers pound Ukraine with newly-made weapons

The Russian terrorist army is attacking Ukraine with weapons that have recently been manufactured at the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The defense-industrial complex of the aggressor country is trying to increase its efforts to produce so-called "high-tech weapons".

The weapons are immediately transferred from the assembly line to the army, so the occupants use them to launch attacks on Ukraine. This was stated by the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky at the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES), reports "Interfax-Ukraine".

According to him, Russia turned its economy into a military system in 2022. The aggressor is trying to ramp up its arms manufacturing efforts.

"We see that the weapons that go straight to the troops from the enterprises have been used to attack Ukraine since May," Skibitsky said.

He noted that the occupiers used missiles that were manufactured in April to strike Kryvyi Rih in May. In addition, Putin's terrorists used missiles manufactured in the third quarter of this year during August. Skibitsky stressed that it is necessary to neutralize the production of weapons in the Russian Federation to stop the missile attacks.

"Here we are working with the international community on many aspects. That includes international sanctions on the supply of the relevant applied parts, as well as the blocking of all supply channels through other countries and through some countries that have not joined the international sanctions. The third aspect is military, which means strikes and the destruction of enterprises producing lethal weapons," Skibitsky said.

Russia now has at least 585 missiles in its arsenal, which shoot at a distance of more than half a thousand kilometers and which is mostly used to attack Ukraine. It is not the X-22 long-range supersonic anti-ship missiles.

Earlier it was reported that Russia had only slightly replenished its stockpile of precision missiles through mothballing over the summer and could launch a broader campaign of strikes against Ukraine's critical infrastructure as early as the fall. However, the available number of missiles in Russia will not be enough to carry out massive attacks like in the winter of 2022-2023.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Russia has set up a plant of Shahed kamikaze drones on its territory. By the end of the year, the aggressor country plans to make 1,300 drones.
