Destroyed buildings with smoke rising over them: what does the occupied city of Volchansk in Kharkiv region look like? Photos and video

Russian troops want to raze Vovchansk to the ground

Russian occupation forces, following Bakhmut and Avdiivka, are trying to raze the city of Vovchansk to the ground in the north of Kharkiv region. The town is undergoing such shelling and destruction that did not exist even at the beginning of the aggressor's invasion in 2022.

The footage from Vovchansk was posted on Instagram by Konstantin and Vlada Liberov. The pictures show destroyed and damaged buildings with smoke rising above them, covering almost the entire city.

The occupiers, as they did before with Bakhmut, are using scorched earth tactics in Vovchansk. On some days, the enemy drops more than 20 guided aerial bombs (GABs) a day on the city.

Evacuation from Vovchansk continues. Volunteers and police are evacuating civilians and animals every day.

Earlier it was reported that Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine are actively involved in repelling the assaults of the aggressor country's army in the north of Kharkiv region. Soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps showed how they beat the occupiers in the area of Vovchansk.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the State Border Guard Service showed an exclusive video from Vovchansk in Kharkiv region. The footage shows border guards breaking through under enemy fire to reinforce other units of the Defense Forces.
