Czech billionaire to donate $2 million for FPV drones for Ukraine for retweets: what is going on

Czech billionaire Jan Barta to donate $2 million for FPV drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Czech billionaire Jan Barta decided to help raise funds for FPV drones for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. For each repost of his post, he promised to send $100 to the Nemesis project, which raises money for 10,000 FPV drones for Ukraine.

Barta wrote about this on his page on the X. At the same time, he noted that his maximum donation as part of this campaign could be $2 million.

"We live in a time that is increasingly reminiscent of the second half of the 1930s. I could not live in peace knowing that I did nothing to stop another Hitler. In light of the Republican wobble and in memory of Navalny, I will give $100 to FPV drones for Ukraine for every retweet," Barta wrote.

At the time of writing, the investor's post had already garnered 29,000 reposts, reaching the goal he set for himself.

"It was crazy! It took less than 24 hours to reach the goal. The post has been viewed by 1.2 million people. Hope it will help encourage more people to support Ukraine," the billionaire said.

He said that he has already transferred $400,000 for FPV drones and will send the rest of the money within a few days.

"And, of course, please join me in any form of support for Ukraine if you feel that way. I realize that there must be a lot of rich Americans who feel disgusted with what the Republican Party is doing, so bypass them and go straight ahead," Barta urged.
