"Counteroffensive is not what we see on the battlefield only": Hodges responded to critics of the AFU's actions and pointed out important nuances

Ben Hodges made a statement about the Ukrainian counteroffensive

Retired US General Ben Hodges disagreed with critics of the Ukrainian counteroffensive. He noted that those who, sitting at a distance of 8,000 kilometers, criticize how someone else enters minefields and enemy trenches should be ashamed of themselves.

The former commander of NATO's Allied Forces Europe emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting complex operations, inflicting multi-level strikes on the Russian Armed Forces. The military officer said this during a discussion in Washington, D.C., titled "Ukraine Victory: Are Washington Signals Flashing Yellow?" Voice of America quoted Hodges.

He called the statements made by critics of the Ukrainian military counteroffensive "unprofessional and useless."

The retired American general reminded that Ukraine's defenders are fighting without air support. The US, UK or Germany would not have sent their infantry to attack without air support.

"A counteroffensive is not what we see on the battlefield only," Hodges emphasized. For example, Ukraine uses special forces and drone attacks, as well as cyber operations to disable Russian radars, air defense systems, and more.

According to Hodges, the impressive work of the Defense Forces on the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy is evident. It puts enormous pressure on the Russian General Staff, the military officer noted.
