The Russian occupiers could have created a whole network of mazes on their second line of defense in the south of Ukraine. The enemy had enough time for this - more than a year.

This was said by the speaker of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction Oleksandr Shtupun on the air of the information telethon on Monday, September 4. According to him, one should not think that the second line of defense of the invaders is much weaker than the first.

There is less minefield density there, but the number of mines is also high, Stupun said. In addition, the enemy army's second defense line may contain mazes.

"The only thing that can play to our advantage is that the trenches, trenches and overlaps are not as strong," he added.

Asked whether the occupiers had actually built entire tunnels and "underground cities" there, as some military experts say, Stupun said he had no such information.

"The Russians have had more than a year of time to entrench themselves, so I think mazes exist there," the military officer added.

On September 3, Shtupun confirmed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had broken through the first defense line of Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhya direction. Now our soldiers have opportunities for maneuvers with equipment and troops.

According to him, the occupants held about 60% of the resources on the first line, it was especially heavily mined, a significant amount of anti-tank weapons were used there, the subsequent lines are not so strong in engineering terms.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Tavria" Oleksandr Tarnavsky said that the Russian Federation spent 60% of its time and resources on the construction of the first line of defense and only 20% each on the second and third.
