Confirmed losses of the Russian army near Avdiivka are more than ten times higher than those of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – Oryx

Losses registered in Oryx are based on visual evidence only

Confirmed losses of the Russian occupiers near Avdiivka are more than ten times higher than those of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This clearly demonstrates the failure of the enemy's military leadership.

This was reported on Monday, January 22, by Oryx Naalsio, an analyst at the Oryx Group, in his account on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. According to him, the ratio of losses of the Russian occupiers and the Ukrainian military is "insane and indicates the entire failure of the Russian military leadership."

For example, since the beginning of the Russian offensive on the city, the army of the Russian Armed Forces has lost 531 units of military equipment, while the Defense Forces have lost only 43 units.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine canceled 293 armored combat vehicles of the enemy, while they lost 14.

The occupants also lost 169 tanks in the Avdiivka area, while our defenders lost 20 tanks.

The losses registered in Oryx are based only on visual evidence from photos and videos.

As a reminder, the commander of the Tavria Brigade, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said the day before that the enemy was focusing assaults and attacks on Avdiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Tavria sector. Most of the attacks are carried out by infantry, with little or no armored vehicles.

Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov said that Russia's losses in the Avdiivka area have increased significantly in recent weeks. According to US intelligence estimates, the enemy has lost over 13,000 people and 220 combat vehicles since October.

Officer of the 59th Yakov Handzyuk Mechanized Brigade Serhiy Tsehotsky said that as many Russian soldiers have been killed near Avdiivka over the past four months as the USSR lost in the war in Afghanistan.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a video of one of the largest assaults on Avdiivka, a historic battle that took place in October 2023. The enemy threw into the attack so much equipment that no country has used in any conflict in the 21st century. The footage is reminiscent of apocalypse movies.
