The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to the outbreak of active hostilities in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The ministry said it had "taken note of the situation".

China's position on the Russian-Ukrainian war is "consistent and clear". This was reported by the press service of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The Chinese diplomatic agency stated that all parties to the conflict must adhere to principles that will not lead to escalation. In particular, Beijing believes that the battlefield should not be expanded and that all parties to the conflict should not engage in fighting.

In addition, China reiterated that Beijing is in touch with the international community and plays a constructive role in promoting a political settlement of the war.

"China has taken note of the situation. China's position on the Ukrainian issue is consistent and clear, calling on all parties to adhere to the "three principles" of de-escalation, i.e., the battlefield should not escalate, the war should not escalate, and all parties should refrain from fighting. China will continue to liaise with the international community and play a constructive role in promoting a political settlement of the crisis," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

As a reminder, the United States does not believe that the events in the Kursk region of the aggressor country Russia could become an escalation of the war. Ukraine is doing what is necessary to achieve success on the battlefield.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, a representative of the EU Foreign Policy Service, Peter Stano, said that Ukraine, as part of its defensive war against Russia's illegal aggression, has the right to strike the enemy wherever it deems necessary, including the territory of Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine is waging a legitimate defense war against illegal aggression.

Earlier, Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova complained to the UN about alleged "human rights violations" in the Kursk region and demanded that Ukraine's actions be "condemned."
