How they shoot down a Shahed

On the night of November 22, the defenders of Ukrainian skies shot down all 14 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones launched by the enemy. The military showed how they eliminated one of the targets.

Thevideo of the combat work of the mobile air defense unit was shared by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk. He posted it on his Telegram channel the day after the attack, on November 23.

The lieutenant general noted that that night our servicemen neutralized all Russian strike UAVs of Iranian design.

"Good job!" the commander of the Air Force of Ukraine praised the soldiers.

The video shows Ukrainian servicemen firing at a target at night using a Shmel infantry flamethrower. To see the drone, they used a light source like a spotlight.

When the enemy drone detonated, a bright flash blinded everything around for a moment."Shmel, the target is down!" the defender of our skies reported.

To recap: the enemy air attack lasted from 20:00 on November 21 to 03:00 on November 22. Within the Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions, Ukrainian air defense eliminated 14 kamikaze drones, showing a 100% success rate in this regard.

Also on the night of November 22, the Russian army launched an X-22 missile at Ukraine from a Tu22M3 aircraft. It is claimed that the missile missed its target and fell in the Zaporizhzhia region in the open.
