"Britain will not allow the world to forget about Ukraine": Defense Secretary Shapps promises to unite allies and increase military assistance

British Defense Minister Shapps promised more aid for Ukraine

Britain has promised to increase military assistance to Ukraine to combat a full-scale invasion by Russian troops. The country will not allow the world to forget that Ukraine is defending its independence on the battlefield.

British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps wrote about this on his account on the social network X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday, October 30. He said that he had held talks with the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The official noted that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin hopes that the world will forget about the urgent need to support Ukraine, but Britain will never allow this to happen.

"We will provide more military support and unite our allies to give Ukraine what it needs to win," Shapps wrote.

Earlier, Shapps said that Britain would continue to support Ukraine regardless of the outcome of next year's US elections. Answering a question about possible British actions if a Republican president is elected in the United States and decides to stop supporting Ukraine, he stressed that London's support for Ukraine is "unwavering."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the UK called on Ukraine's allies not to back down in their assistance to the Ukrainian state, which is fighting a full-scale invasion by the aggressor country Russia. Kyiv's partners must remain steadfast in this matter.
