High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that for the EU, there is only a peace plan of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He emphasized that the Ukrainian Peace Formula is the position of the entire Union.

Borrell made this statement during a meeting at the NATO summit in Washington. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to support Ukraine.

"For those who complain that supporting Ukraine will only contribute to the war, I tell them: if we stop supporting Ukraine, the war will end. And soon. But how? With Ukraine's capitulation? With a puppet government in Kyiv? With the Ukrainian people crushed by the aggressor? Is this how we want the war to end? No," Borrell said.

He emphasized that if the partners do not want Ukraine to surrender due to the lack of opportunities to continue defense, they should continue to support the Ukrainian people.

"This is the position of the European Union. The whole EU supports this position. And there is no plan for the European Union except Zelenskyy's plan. This is the only peaceful plan for us, for Europeans," the EU High Representative said.

It is worth noting that Ukraine has already signed security guarantee agreements with 19 European countries and the United States. The partner countries include Japan, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, and Iceland.

On Thursday, June 27, during the EU Summit in Brussels, Ukraine signed security guarantees with two more countries. Lithuania and Estonia signed agreements with our country.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs concrete steps to help bring a just and lasting peace to Ukrainians. The Head of State noted that this will also strengthen reliable stability for all countries of the world.

Earlier it was reported that on June 25, Ukraine officially launched negotiations on EU membership: an intergovernmental conference began to work. The accession methodology has not been radically changed, although it is being adapted to the situation in each country. Ukraine will have to fulfill a number of conditions, which are divided into 33 sections.
