Another mine washed up on the coast in Odesa region. It happened on the night of May 9.

The munition did not have time to cause trouble: it was detected and neutralized by a controlled explosion in time. This was stated in a message posted on the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which also showed a video of the destruction of the mine.

"On the night of May 9, a sea mine, which was washed up on the coast of Odesa region, was destroyed. The detected munition was neutralized by controlled explosion," the statement said.

The General Staff did not say where exactly the dangerous discovery was made. However, they reminded Ukrainians that in case of detection of suspicious or explosive objects, it is strictly forbidden to approach, touch or try to move/deactivate them on their own.

"If you find such items, notify the relevant services," the General Staff urged.
