Another Russian general has reportedly committed suicide in Ukraine. According to Russian media, Vladimir Zavadsky, the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, detonated a mine on November 28.

The news of Zavadsky's self-destruction was publicized by volunteer and public figure Serhiy Sternenko. It is symbolic that the photo of the former commander of the Kantemyrivska Division in his youth was used by the Russian Ministry of Defense in advertising for contract service in the Russian Armed Forces. Information about him was also disclosed by OSINT Bees investigators in the fall.

"As a result of a mine explosion (official version), Major General Vladimir Zavadsky of the Russian occupation army died. He was the deputy commander of the 14th AK of the Russian Armed Forces. Until November 28," Sternenko wrote.

He also posted a screenshot of a message from one of the Russian media outlets, which, in addition to information about the explosion of the Russian general, also lists the main milestones in his biography. This includes his tenure as the commander of the Russian 4th Guards Tank Kantemyr Division, which "distinguished itself" in the fighting in South Ossetia, Kosovo, and Chechnya. At the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the division suffered huge losses in the Sumy region.

The report also highlights that Zavadsky was a recipient of the Russian "Order of Courage."

According to information collected by OSINT Bee investigators last fall, Zavadsky had a wife and two sons, born in 2003 and 2011. The eldest decided to follow in his father's footsteps and became a cadet at the Tver Suvorov Military School.

After the commencement of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as per media reports, Russian General Zavadsky was said to have planned and executed occupation operations in the Kharkiv region. In September 2022, media outlets reported that he fled from Izyum with wounded Russians, fearing the Ukrainian army's counteroffensive.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had eliminated another 1,140 occupants in a single day. Additionally, 175 units of Russian equipment and weapons were destroyed, including 15 tanks, 27 armored combat vehicles, 32 artillery systems, three MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems), three air defense systems, 49 vehicles, and eight special vehicles.

Furthermore, 39 operational and tactical UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and two cruise missiles were destroyed.
