The Russian Armed Forces are destroying Beryslav

The city of Beryslav, Kherson region, is regularly shelled by Russian troops, including crowds of people. It is very dangerous in the town, and the enemy army has almost destroyed it.

The head of the press office of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, said this on the air of United News on January 28. He noted that local residents are gradually being evacuated from Beryslav.

At the end of January 2024, about seven thousand residents remained in the coastal towns of Beryslav district.

"We bring a lot of humanitarian aid and water, and organizations also bring it. As for the shops, they hardly work. There is no electricity, but there are resilience points where people can recharge their gadgets and use Starlink. But, of course, this is not the same Beryslav that was there even a year ago. The Russian military is now targeting crowds more, shooting at civilians, deliberately dropping explosives on them," Tolokonnikov said.

Beryslav on the map

As OBOZ.UA previously reported:

- On November 9, seven Russian invaders in balaclavas stopped a 51-year-old resident of the Kherson region on the way out of the village of Vilna Ukraina in the Kakhovka district. The servicemen of the aggressor country robbed him, beat him, and tortured him with electricity.

- Meanwhile, in the occupied Mariupol, Russian "real estate agents" are selling apartments that are not occupied by their rightful owners. One of these "entrepreneurs" showed her client a living space that had been severely damaged by shelling by the occupying army. This three-room apartment in the city center still contained the belongings of Ukrainians.
