Azov officer calls Ukrainian "nits" who gave Russia grounds for full-scale war

Dmytro Andriushchenko, a command officer of the 12th Brigade of the Azov Regiment, believes that residents of Donbas and Crimea, who voted in pro-Russian referendums in spring 2014, are also guilty of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Without restraining his emotions, he called them "nits" who were directly involved in the war and the deaths of thousands of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers.

The soldier with the call sign "Diplomat" said this in an interview with TSN, which was posted on YouTube on January 6. Last year in September, the defender returned from Russian captivity, where he had been since leaving Azovstal in May 2022.

He believes that those Ukrainian citizens who knowingly or unknowingly came to the illegal referendums in the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea are directly involved in the full-scale war that began in February 2022.

The "diplomat" says that his friends and acquaintances were among those who supported the aggressor country of Russia more than nine years ago. Since then, he has not communicated with them.

"I completely cut off communication with them. They are not respectable people for me. Even if they have now bought 200 drones. I can't do that. Because I believe that this is a logical chain that generates all this..." explained the Azov officer.

He says that such people once gave any formal and informal grounds for Russia to launch its full-scale military invasion. According to him, these citizens became the "first cog" in the mechanism that brought the "Russian world" to Ukraine.

"For me, there is always a cause-and-effect relationship. The war and the deaths of thousands of our civilian and military boys and girls are the consequences of that campaign of those nits in 2014 for that sh*tty referendum," said Dmytro Andriushchenko.
