Arbitrarily abandoned positions: Russian army lost about 90 servicemen in the Luhansk region - General Staff

The number of deserters in Russia is growing

Ukrainian soldiers continue to eliminate Russian occupiers fighting against our country. This strikes fear into the enemy and forces them to surrender.

This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff for June 9. Almost a hundred Russian invaders left their positions and decided to desert.

"About 90 servicemen of the Russian occupation forces deserted in Arapivka, Luhansk region, and left their combat positions without permission," the Armed Forces said in a statement.

So far, Russian authorities have not commented on this information.

As a reminder, cases of desertion among the Russian military have been recorded on the occupied left bank of the Kherson region. The occupiers' command puts the mobilised soldiers at the forefront of their defence, where they act as cannon fodder.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, due to frequent explosions in the occupied territory of Luhansk region, the enemy has increased the number of checkpoints and raid patrols. The occupiers are looking for guerrillas who can help the Ukrainian armed forces.
