Ukraine has entered the 495th day of full-scale war, during which Russian enemy troops again attacked our regions with missiles and attack drones. Heavy fighting continues at the frontline in the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors, where 39 combat engagements took place the day before.
The defenders repulsed all the attacks of the occupants near Maryinka, destroyed Russian equipment and manpower in different areas. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the AFU on July 3.
Over the past 24 hours, the hijackers carried out missile and air strikes, using 12 cruise missiles and anti-aircraft guided missiles and eight Shahed-type UAVs against civilian infrastructure. Anti-aircraft forces and assets destroyed three cruise missiles and eight drones.
In addition, the enemy conducted 57 air strikes and about 60 rocket launcher attacks on our troops' positions and settlements. Unfortunately, in addition to the destroyed civilian infrastructure, civilians also suffered.
Currently, the operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remains unchanged. In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy maintains its military presence and continues shelling. In particular, yesterday it carried out an air strike near Pletenivka in Kharkiv region, firing mortars and artillery at more than 30 settlements, including Karpovychi, Khrinivka, Kamianska Sloboda in Chernihiv region; Sopych, Sokhany, Bilopillia and Ponomarenky in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan and Vovchansk in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk sector, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire. In the Liman sector, the occupants attacked from the air near Bilohorivka, Novolyubivka in Luhansk region and Dibrova and Siversk in Donetsk region. They shelled Nevske, Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Torske.
In the Bakhmut sector, the Russian Federation Armed Forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Minkivka and Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. More than a dozen localities, including Vasyukivka, Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske, suffered from their shelling.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Avdiivka. It also launched an air strike there and shelled the city, as well as Pervomaiske, Berdychi and a number of other localities. Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka sector, our defenders repelled all the occupants' attacks in the vicinity of Maryinka. At the same time, the enemy launched air strikes on it, as well as in the areas of Kotlyarivka and Kurakhove. He shelled more than ten localities with artillery, including Maryinka, Pobeda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk sector, the occupants attacked Vuhledar, Bohoyavlivka and Blahodatne from the air, shelling more than 15 localities, including Zolota Niva, Velyka Novosilka, Vodyane and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.
At the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the invaders are mainly focused on preventing the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The occupiers launched air strikes in the areas of Zmiivka, Kherson and Antonivka, fired at more than 40 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Hulyaypole, Bilohirya in Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Kozatske, Antonivka, Dniprovske in Kherson region.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of the Russian Armed Forces personnel, and the missile and artillery units hit a command center, a personnel concentration area, 27 artillery pieces at firing positions and two enemy air defense systems.
