DIU launches recruitment campaign

On June 13, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) launched a recruitment campaign. The slogan of the campaign is a simple and clear phrase "Stav Plus" ('Leave a Plus'; a plus, namely a cross, is a characteristic sign of AFU).

The start of recruitment to the ranks of the Ukrainian intelligence was announced by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov. "It is possible and necessary to join the team of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. That is why today, on the instructions of our leader, commander and chief, General Kyrylo Budanov, who sends his greetings to all those present, we are honored to announce the first all-Ukrainian public recruitment campaign. We are moving to a new level and want to provide access to new specialists. The world is changing, and so is military intelligence," Yusov said.

The purpose of this recruitment campaign is to inform civilian Ukrainians that the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has vacancies, and that if you have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience, you have a very real opportunity to become an employee of this legendary organization.

Roman, the head of the recruiting department, explained why the campaign was named "Leave a Plus".

"Plus is a cool and concise military slang that even civilians are now using. Plus is a cool, short word with a positive meaning, like 'good, I agree, I'm with you'. It is also an arithmetic symbol for addition. 'Leave a Plus' is a call for civilians to join the ranks of the DIU. 'Stav Plus' is an opportunity to change your life qualitatively and write your name in the history of victory," the head of the recruiting department emphasized.

He also spoke about the benefits of serving in the DIU:

1. DIU appreciates every employee, encourages initiative and the desire to develop.

"We value each of our employees, we are ready to invest resources in their development and training for the effective performance of tasks," the head of the recruitment department said.

2. DIU provides decent financial support.

"In terms of salaries, DIU can compete for the Employer of the Year award. All this is done to make people feel that their contribution to the work to win is highly valued by the employer. We also care about the working atmosphere. Ethics and norms of behavior in the team meet high corporate standards," Roman said.

3. Patriotism and determination to win

"Chest, Syla, Volya (Honor, Will, Strength): this phrase is much more meaningful than one can imagine. This is the formula for victory, the essence and meaning on which the work of an intelligence officer is based. It is a strong-willed spirit and determination to win. We don't care who our enemy is, we care who our friends are," Roman said.

"And finally, a rigorous selection of candidates. We have no place for random people," the head emphasized.

Among the standards that a potential candidate for service in the Ukrainian intelligence service must meet, the agency's representatives named several conditions.

When it comes to active-action units, the priorities are good physical fitness, endurance, and the ability to navigate stressful situations. Candidates can be between 18 and 40 years old.

A representative of one of the DIU's active operations units explained that the agency offers recruits continuous development, mobilization or contract service, education, training according to its own standards, and the best ammunition and modern weapons.

"And, of course, high-quality medical care and a salary of 70 thousand hryvnias," he added.

However, it is not only the active units of the Ukrainian military intelligence that are in need of new people. In particular, it was a search for technical specialists whose knowledge will help to destroy the enemy even more effectively.

"The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has units that perform tasks related to the use of robotic systems: air, ground and sea. We are very interested in specialists in technical fields. We are also interested in operators of various types of UAVs: both those already in service and the latest models," the representative said.

How to apply

To begin with, a potential candidate must fill out an application form. It can be found on the official website of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in the "Career" section, in the "Military Vacancies" on the Lobby-X online platform, as well as on the DIU and its units' verified social media pages. The application form can also be instantly accessed by using a QR code on the organization's advertisements and banners, which are currently placed in all major cities of Ukraine.

After filling out the questionnaire, the candidate's candidacy is submitted for consideration. If approved, the person is contacted within 24 hours or a maximum of 10 days. It depends which platform the person filled out the questionnaire on.

"We provide guarantees of effective management. We value every employee and are ready to invest resources in people's development. We are ready to compete for the title of the best employer. Ethics and standards of behavior in the team meet the highest standards. So Leave a Plus. We need your knowledge, skills and morale and we need them for Ukraine's victory," the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine summarized the presentation.
