A delegation of the UNESCO mission arrived in Odesa on July 29. The purpose of their visit is to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused to cultural and religious sites during the Russian missile strikes from 19 to 23 July.
This was reported in the Odesa City Council. Thus, 25 architectural monuments were damaged during the missile attack of the occupants, which took place on the night of July 23.
It should be noted that the historical center of Odesa has the status of UNESCO-protected territory.
"The work has begun. The mission will fix the consequences of the attacks of the Russians and everything will be documented," the mayor of Odesa Hennadiy Trukhanov said.
Earlier, UNESCO announced that it would send its delegation to the city to conduct a preliminary assessment of the damage caused to cultural sites during the attack.
