A truck with Russian army ammunition exploded in occupied Sverdlovsk, Luhansk region. Video
In the occupied city of Dovzhansk, Luhansk region (now the occupiers call the city by its old name Sverdlovsk), a Russian military truck exploded right on the highway entering the city. The truck was carrying ammunition. The circumstances of the explosion are unknown.
Local residents say that the truck was on fire near the Sverdlovsk stele and that the ammunition detonated for some time during the fire. None of the attendants survived.
"So much for May 1," "Fortunately, no one survived," local residents commented on the incident online, while Russian propaganda resources posted videos from the scene without comment.
Currently, Dolzhansk is the deep rear of the Russian occupation army, 140 km from the territories controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. It is the administrative center of the city community of the same name and the district of the same name in Luhansk region, the easternmost district center of Ukraine. The city has been occupied since 2014.
Highways of territorial importance T 1305 and T 1311 pass through the city.
