A drone flew over Putin's residence in Valdai and hit an oil depot: exclusive details of the operation by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine that caused hysteria in the Russian Federation

The drone that hit the oil depot in the Leningrad region flew over Putin's residence

During an attack on an oil depot in the Leningrad region of Russia, a drone from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine flew over the residence of dictator Vladimir Putin in Valdai. This area is known for its high-level air defense, as is the entire region.

Exclusive details of the attack were reported to OBOZ.UA by a source in the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The source mentioned that Ukrainian defense forces continually enhance the technical capabilities of drones, enabling them to penetrate deep into Russia.

Ukrainian specialists are adept at finding unconventional solutions to identify Russian vulnerabilities.

The source noted that Russian citizens are expressing hysteria about this attack. Many are alarmed by Ukrainian UAVs, questioning how the drones could fly such distances and demanding restrictions on UAV use (likely only Ukrainian ones) during wartime.

Some Russians are calling for strict adherence to international law in the use of drones, expressing concerns about unpredictable consequences for all parties involved. Interestingly, these concerns were not expressed when drones were used against Ukrainians.

As a reminder, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted the operation in the Leningrad region, where the Russians are concealing the impact on the oil depot.

The sources emphasized that military facilities in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region are now within the reach of Ukrainian forces.

Russian Telegram channels reported that the attack targeted the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal. They described it as a "drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" with a wingspan of 6 meters and a piston engine, carrying about 3 kg of explosives.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– On the night of January 18, residents of Podolsk near Moscow reported explosions, attributed to a "UAV attack" by the authorities.

– On January 17, a massive fire broke out at a polyester plant in Shakhty, Rostov region, Russia. Propagandists tried to attribute it to an explosion inside a workshop, but inversion traces in the sky were evident.
