The Russian army continues to use soldiers from North Korea for "meat" assaults in the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting an operation. However, over the past few days, the tactics of the DPRK military in Kursk have changed: previously, they used to assault with 1-2 soldiers, but now they send 30-50 people at a time.

A member of the Armed Forces and political analyst Kyrylo Sazonov told Channel 24 about this. According to him, such tactics make Koreans an excellent target for the Defense Forces.

Sazonov noted that it is the North Korean military that is the first to launch assaults. Then the Russians use drones to identify Ukrainian positions, strike at them, and then send more professional assault troops.

Previously, the enemy tried to approach the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces one or two at a time and gather there, realizing that Ukrainian troops would not waste a shell or mine on one occupier. However, in the last 3-4 days, not 8-10 soldiers, but about 30-50 have been involved in the assaults. And they are attacking the positions of the Ukrainian military in a column.

According to Sazonov, the Ukrainian military has not seen a situation on the frontline for a long time when enemy soldiers are attacking in such large numbers, especially in open terrain and in full growth. This shows the true attitude of the Russians toward the North Koreans – they are simply used as targets, expendable material.

"The topic of North Koreans is very media-driven, it's been overhyped. In reality, they are not of great importance. Let's say there are 10,000 of them, according to intelligence, and 2-3,000 are involved in combat. As of mid-November, there were already 55,000+ enemy troops in Kursk, and we only deducted 20,000 in November. They added a few North Koreans, but this did not fundamentally affect anything," the military said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russians are trying to cynically hide the losses of soldiers from the DPRK in Ukraine. According to him, there have been cases when the occupiers burned the faces of the killed North Korean soldiers.
