"We will help you start a new life": South Korean soldier fighting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces calls on DPRK soldiers in Russia to surrender. Video

A South Korean volunteer fighting in the Ukrainian Armed Forces recorded a video message to the DPRK military, who were sent to fight on the side of Russia. He urged them to take advantage of the unique opportunity to escape from the dictatorial regime by surrendering to Ukrainian forces.

The soldier emphasized that Ukraine guarantees humane treatment and conditions to all prisoners, which North Korean soldiers will definitely not find in their homeland. The video was published by the Telegram channel of the I Want to Live project.

In the footage, a free man calls on his blood brothers sent to a foreign war to take the chance of a lifetime to become free.

"My brother, we are of the same roots, of the same blood, of the same land. The only thing that separates us is the border, which you did not choose. I know that you endure, you hold on because you were raised that way. But every day you ask yourself: why? For whom? You deserve a life without constant fear and pain. Here, in the south, we have the opportunity to take care of our families, to see them happy and protected, not to be afraid of tomorrow," said a South Korean volunteer.

He noted that to do this, DPRK soldiers assigned to Russian troops need only surrender to the Ukrainian military.

"We will not only accept you, but also help you start a new life. Here you will find support, work, and the opportunity to live in dignity. Even money so that you can start your journey from scratch," says Korets, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The "I Want to Live" project added that away from Big Brother, which monitors all North Koreans, it would be a sin not to take advantage of such a unique opportunity.

"Surrender, brother! Save your life for yourself, for your family. Start living for those who are really important and take the first step towards freedom, towards peace and a life where you and your loved ones have a decent future," the soldier summarized in the video.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, soldiers from the DPRK continue to be on the territory of the Kursk region of Russia. According to the Pentagon, these troops have not yet taken direct part in hostilities against Ukraine.
