Official Kyiv is already working on organising the next international meetings and negotiations. First of all, they will be aimed at new supplies of Western weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his traditional evening address to the Ukrainian people. He promised that his team's foreign policy would bring even more beneficial results for Ukraine (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"We have already started preparing for this week and the coming weeks. We expect new meetings and negotiations, and so far, mostly visits to us, to our country. There will be more weapons for our soldiers," the President said.

He also spoke about preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius, which is scheduled to take place on 11-12 July 2023.

"Every week, we add content for Ukraine from the summit in Vilnius. We are doing our best to ensure that the decision at the summit will work for us. By the way, today is an important declaration from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Things are called by their proper names: a clear recognition of Russia's crimes against our country as genocide, a clear condemnation of racist ideology. This is the right basis for our international organisations," Zelenskyy said.

The President also spoke about preparations for several interim security measures in the neighbouring countries that support Ukraine the most. He promised new appeals to help the world understand Ukraine and strengthen our ties with partners.

"This is our intensive foreign policy, various non-standard formats, maximum useful attention of the world to Ukraine, to our defence - we will continue all this. More and more results for Ukraine - air defence, artillery, armoured vehicles, shells, training - all this is mandatory," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

The President also noted the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are defending Ukraine from Russian invaders.

"Today I want to thank all our soldiers who are defending the sky. From yesterday evening to this morning, we have shot down 25 "Shahed" militants. 25 out of 25. An excellent result. And each such downing means saved lives, saved infrastructure. Thank you! We managed to shoot down some of the terrorists' missiles, but unfortunately not all of them. Unfortunately, there were hits. Dnipro and Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia - all our cities and communities need a full-fledged air shield. We are working very actively on this together with our partners," he said.

"Today, it is worth noting the units of the Khortytsia Society for the Defence of Ukraine - the most resilient and effective, the most efficient. The 3rd and 5th separate assault brigades, the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade, the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade "Kholodny Yar", the 214th Separate Special Forces Battalion... Thank you, warriors! This is the Bakhmut direction, the extraordinary strength of our people. Glory to all our soldiers who are destroying the enemy! Glory to all who are protecting our cities from terrorist attacks! Glory to everyone who makes our victory closer every day! Thank you to everyone in the world who supports us! Thank you!" - said the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that the White House confirmed that the United States and its allies plan to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets. However, the timing of when Kyiv will receive the planes, how many and which countries will provide them remains unclear.

Kyiv needs up to 50 fourth-generation F-16 fighter jets to protect it from aerial bombardment, said Yuriy Sak, an adviser to Ukraine's Defence Minister. According to him, Ukraine does not stop negotiations with its allies on this issue, as its relevance is only growing every day.
