Occupants launched black Shaheds in Ukraine: the Air Force explained what it means

Russian troops launched black Shaheds in Ukraine

On the night of November 25, the Russian terrorist army launched Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones repainted in black into Ukraine. Probably, in this way, the enemy is trying to complicate the work of Ukrainian air defense.

At the same time, there is no talk of any new modification of these UAVs. This was stated by Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the telethon.

According to him, the Russian occupiers are constantly trying to modernize Shahed attack drones. This time, the enemy decided to repaint the UAV's body in a matte black color.

Ihnat suggested that in this way, Russian troops may be trying to complicate the work of Ukrainian air defense. In addition, the invaders began to use carbon fiber material in drones, which absorbs radar signals.

"They improved the UAVs they received from Iran, the ones they make themselves, using certain composite materials for the reflective surface. Now we see that they used carbon fiber. Carbon is an absorbent material for radar signals, and the black color is understandable," Ihnat said.

At the same time, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force assured that these are not the Shahid jets that Iran showed at the arms exhibition the day before. It is currently unknown how many of them are being produced and what the fate of this jet UAV will be.

Earlier it was reported that on the morning of November 25, when Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-33, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with Iranian kamikaze drones from several directions. The falling debris caused injuries and destruction in the capital.

As a reminder, on the night of November 25, Russian terrorist forces launched one of the largest drone attacks in Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy UAVs. About 40% of the targets were shot down by mobile fire groups.
