Ukrainian Armed Forces capture another Russian marine in Kursk region

Ukrainian defense forces in the Kursk region have captured another Russian occupier from the "elite" 810th Guards Marine Brigade (810th OBrMP) of the Russian Armed Forces. The marines were redeployed to Kursk to repel the Ukrainian offensive, but they suffered heavy losses.

A video of the interrogation of another captured invader was posted online on Sunday, August 25. He said that when the marines arrived at their positions, the occupiers from the Chechen Akhmat unit immediately fled.

The Russian was captured near the village of Durivka. The exchange fund for Ukraine was replenished by soldiers from the 225th separate assault battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Chechens fled when we arrived in Durivka. When we arrived, they were gone," he said.

The Russian occupier also added that Ukrainian soldiers treat him normally as a prisoner of war.

Earlier, Russian propagandists complained that the Ukrainian Defense Forces defeated a group of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near the Russian village of Kauchuk in Korenivka district .

As a result of the battle, a large number of Russian marines were killed or wounded.

On August 18, it became known that Ukrainian soldiers captured a company commander of Russian marines. The occupier had previously fought against Ukraine as part of the Wagner PMC and then signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry.

In a short video shown by the soldiers of the 225th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the captured Russian marine commander asked to be exchanged for the Azovs, who have been in Russian captivity since the spring of 2022.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russian Major General Oleg Vlasov, commander of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation, arrived in occupied Sevastopol from the Kursk region. The purpose of his visit is to conduct an unscheduled inspection in connection with the losses and problems in the Kursk direction.
