Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian helicopter with man-portable air defense system

On Wednesday, February 7, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Ka-52 (Alligator) attack helicopter of the Russian military. The enemy "bird" and its crew were permanently grounded in the Avdiivka sector.

This was stated by the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi. Earlier this morning, the destruction of another Russian helicopter was mentioned in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the losses of the aggressor.

According to the brigadier general, the Ka-52 was trained on in the operational area of the Tavria airborne assault system by fighters of one of the mechanized units. It became the 325th helicopter of the Russian Armed Forces that Ukrainian soldiers have destroyed since the beginning of the full-scale war.

"The enemy Alligator with its crew was hit by a man-portable air defense system and fertilized the soil in the Avdiivka sector," elaborated Tarnavskyi.

He added that the Russian army is currently focusing its main offensive efforts on the Novopavlivka, Avdiivka, and Orikhivske directions. The brigadier general thanked every soldier who is defending Ukrainian land and destroying the enemy and its equipment for their hard work.
