Russian drone flew close to Khmelnytskyi NPP at night: what is known

Russian-launched Shahed flew close to Khmelnytskyi NPP

Russia continues its nuclear blackmail. During the drone attack on the night of September 20, one of the Russian Shaheds flew close to the Khmelnytskyi NPP.

This was stated by the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration Serhii Tiurin. He emphasized that such incidents are not the first time such things have happened.

"Today, during a night attack, a Russian Shahed attack UAV was spotted flying close to KhNPP. Russia continues nuclear blackmail by sending missiles and drones towards Ukrainian NPPs. Today's incident with the Shahed near KhNPP is another confirmation," Tiurin said.

The head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration also reiterated the call of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Western partners to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, as such actions of the aggressor affect the security of the entire continent.

"That is why President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and all representatives of our country are so actively appealing to our partners to provide Ukraine with modern air defense systems so that we can protect not only ourselves but the entire continent from Russian terror. I am grateful to the air defense forces for their effective work!" Tiurin summarized.

As a reminder, on the night of September 20, Russia attacked Ukraine again, launching a missile and 70 Shaheds. During the night air battle, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 61 drones and an X-59 missile. According to the Air Force, nine more Shaheds were lost locally on the territory of Ukraine, but the defenders of the skies over Ukraine emphasized that they have not received any information about damage or casualties.
