Russia shelled Mykolaiv with supersonic X-22 missiles: hit an industrial facility

On the night of Sunday, May 7, Russian occupation troops attacked Mykolaiv. The enemy fired supersonic X-22 missiles at the city.

There were four explosions in the regional center. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Mykolaiv regional military administration.

According to the head of the Regional Military District Administration Vitaly Kim, there were no lights and calls for emergency services in the regional center.

In turn, the speaker of the operational command "South" Natalia Gumenyuk in the air of the telethon said that in Nikolayev one of the missiles hit an industrial enterprise. There were also recorded hits in fields in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

According to preliminary data from UC South, no civilians were injured as a result of the rocket attack in Mykolaiv.

"There was an air missile attack at night, strategic aviation planes were used, the enemy was directing missiles to the south, in particular the X-22. It is not a high-precision missile and it is likely that they were trying to scout where and what kind of air defense systems were ready to work. We saw a hit in one of the industrial plants, a shop was destroyed, but no human casualties. There are hits in fields in both Kherson and Mykolaiv regions," Gumenyuk reported.

In total, Russian terrorists fired five X-22 missiles at the territory of Mykolaiv region. The enemy attacked Olshanskaya and Konstantinovskaya communities. As a result, the building of an industrial enterprise was damaged and a hit in the open area was also recorded. Outside the enterprise dry grass caught fire, the fire was extinguished at 01:20 by a subdivision of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region. Other damage is being specified.

Monitoring channels also reported that a total of four X-22 missiles were launched from Tu-22m3 aircraft. At the moment, the consequences of the firing are being determined.

The X-22 is a Soviet supersonic long-range air-launched anti-ship cruise missile. With the outbreak of full-scale war, it became a weapon of their many war crimes for the Russians.

X-22 missiles struck shopping malls Riviera  in Odessa and Amstor in Kremenchug, and residential buildings in Sergeyevka in Odessa Region and in Dnipro.
