US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said that the key goal of the Russian Federation in launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine was to virtually wipe our country off the world map in a short period of time. This is what an American official said in an interview with CNN. Ukrainians unlike Russian soldiers know what they are fighting for, so the invaders have no chance of victory.

"Putin's goal was to wipe Ukraine off the map, to eliminate its independence, its sovereignty, to subjugate it to Russia. This has long ago failed, Russia has already lost," Blinken emphasized.

Recall that as early as last year, the Executive Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans voiced a similar thought, and compared Putin to the Fuhrer of Nazi Germany Adolf Hitler.
