Russia on August 13 attacked the Palau-flagged civilian dry cargo ship Sukru Okan in the Black Sea. The vessel was on its way to the Ukrainian port of Izmail.

In order to forcefully stop the vessel, the Russian warship opened warning fire from automatic small arms. In order to inspect the dry cargo ship, a Ka-29 helicopter with a group of Russian servicemen was lifted from the patrol ship Vasily Bykov," the Russian Federation said.
The vessel was forced to stop after the attack.

After completion of the work of the inspection team on board the Sukru Okan the vessel continued to the port of Izmail.
