The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has revealed how many combat aircraft may remain in service in Russia. In particular, intelligence officers released data on the availability of Su-34 and Su-35 fighters and A-50U long-range radar detection and guidance aircraft in the occupation army.

The enemy has more of them than the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already managed to destroy. This is stated in the response of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine to the request of ArmyInform.

According to Ukraine's military intelligence, as of March this year, the Russian occupation army has about 100 Su-35 multifunctional fighters and more than 100 Su-34 fighter-bombers in service.

The enemy's space forces have seven A-50U long-range radar detection and guidance aircraft. However, three of them are currently undergoing repairs and modernization: two at the Taganrog Beriev Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, and one at the airfield in Ulyanovsk, where the Aviastar aircraft manufacturing plant is located.

On March 9, it became known that "unknown drones" in Taganrog had hit a military airfield where A-50 aircraft were stationed. According to Russian media reports, the UAVs allegedly tried to attack the territory of the aviation enterprise, which is part of the Beriev Scientific and Technical Complex, where A-50 and A-100 airborne missile defense aircraft are modernized and Tu-95 and Tu-142 are serviced.

Satellite images of the territory and damaged hangars raised speculation that one of the A-50s may have been damaged in the attack.

It was also reported that British intelligence had assessed the consequences of the strike on the Russian A-50 in Taganrog: if it was damaged, it would mean a deterioration in Russia's "situational awareness."
